How it works
Four amino acid substitutions in the GHRH(1-29) backbone block the enzymes that would degrade it, and the Drug Affinity Complex forms a covalent bond with cysteine-34 on serum albumin. Bound to albumin the peptide is hidden from renal clearance, pushing half-life from minutes to roughly six to eight days.
Why researchers order it
That long half-life produces a sustained elevation in GH signalling rather than the sharp pulse you get from short-acting secretagogues — a genuinely different research question. The distinction matters: CJC-1295 *without* DAC (also sold as Mod-GRF 1-29) has a half-life of about 30 minutes and is not interchangeable with this product.
